How To Start An Online Business-The Critical Foundations

Wednesday, August 31st, 2011

Many people are starting their own online business by setting up a blog or website and making money from it. But the failure rate is incredibly high.

In this article I am looking at the essentials for starting your own business online. I will also look at how easy it is to fail and what you will need to succeed.

Every online business must sell something to succeed; whether that is a product or service is entirely up to you but you should draw on your interests or experience in the early stages of your online career and create your first site or blog based on what you know or have experienced and your unique selling proposition.

This does not mean that you have to create or make your own products and one of the easiest and most effective to build your online business is as an affiliate. This means that you will sell other peoples products and get a commission for each sale you refer. A great starting point is EBay or Amazon.

Amazon is one of the top online retailers in the world and with a few clicks of your mouse you can set up a blog which will provide useful content for your visitors and assist them to find the solution that they are looking for by referring them to appropriate products on Amazon or Ebay or whatever affiliate program you sign up for.

Being an affiliate is therefore a great way to dip your toe in the water and commence your online business. Ideally you should start in an area that you have experience in from your hobbies or work experience.

This has 2 great benefits.

1. Your knowledge of what you are writing about will shine through in your blog postings and in your articles which will drive traffic to your blog. This will instil confidence in your visitors and make them much more likely to purchase whatever product you are recommending.

2. You can build a rapport with your visitors who will trust you when you can demonstrate that you know what you are talking about and understand their problem or requirements.

The failure rate in online business is high because many people don’t care about their visitors or subscribers and this shines through more often than you think. A lack of credibility and integrity will see your online business end in failure.

So start in a niche that you are passionate about and that you have knowledge in, provide your visitors with solutions to their problems and you will succeed when you scale up your business and add valuable content to your site and in your article marketing.

Best Home Business

Monday, August 29th, 2011

What would be the best home business, one that would be able to let you earn money and work from home? Quite frankly, there are so many home business opportunities out there that it is easy to get overwhelmed and also have your money taken by scammers. I will give you some tips on what to look for to help you identify the best home business for you.
One thing that you have got to understand is that any business that you start, there is going to be a learning curve. This could last from a few weeks to a few months depending on your effort and learning ability. During this learning curve you may get frustrated because you have put in a lot of money and have not made a sale. This is where having a good community of support will not only help you keep on track but also help cut down the learning curve.
Another thing to look out for is a business that promises you that you can make a lot of money with very little work. Anything worth while in life takes work to get. That is how God made us. There are lazy people out there that will send in money to own a business and expect to do little to nothing and get a check every month. How would you like that person on your team? The fact of life is you get out of life what you put into it!
One more thing to say about a home business is that no matter what business you have, any business you have, you have to advertise to get sales. Makes since right? How else are people going to know about what you do if you do not get the word out? In this day and age people are looking for a way to earn extra money. Competition is steep to get business. The better you know how to advertise the better your business will be.
I have a home business that I am proud of and it comes in two parts. First business is teaching and supporting people on how to advertise on the internet. I have a great community of support and through them and the education that they offer can help advertise any business into successful profits. Second part is financial education. This teaches a person how to increase the financial education to the level of the rich. There is a trick to handling money that the rich know and the poor doesn’t. Learn the secrets of the rich so that when your business does take off you know how to handle the success. Think about all the people who won the lottery only to end up in worse shape than they were wishing that they had never won. That’s because there is a trick to money.

Learn How to Engage Followers Through Social Media Consulting

Sunday, August 28th, 2011

If you haven’t yet utilized social networking for promoting your business, you are missing out on a ton of benefits. After all, what cheaper way is there of interacting with customers who are looking for just the very product or service that you are offering? But of course, all that is only possible if you know what you are doing. If you do not, you will only be wasting a lot of things: money, all the hard work that you put in, and time–yours and that of prospective customers.

Social media consulting can provide your company with a lot of benefits. It can give you a basic introduction into everything you need to know about the various social media sites like You Tube, WordPress, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. You will get a full introduction that includes how to set up your basic profile or site, where applicable, and how to get the word out about your presence on these sites. You certainly want to develop a following on these sites if you expect your message to be received. In most cases, this is essentially equivalent to an “opt in” marketing campaign, which means that your message is going the eyes and ears of those who truly want to hear what you have to say. Once you have built a strong network of followers, however, you then come to the important task of engaging these followers.

With social media consulting, you get expert strategies for not just getting started with these sites and establishing a following, but also what to do with that following once you have a target audience in place. You will get a customized approach to your social media marketing efforts that allows you to focus on who your target audience is and how they use these sites. Each platform is different, and so you need to have a focused approach that reaches all of your audience members in these very different ways, yet with a uniform message that builds up your brand. Consulting helps you to make this happen, and in a very time-saving way so you can spend less time focusing on marketing and more time focusing on your business.

There is a lot you need to know about social media sites if you want to put them to full use for your company. It certainly goes far beyond just setting up a site, and even beyond getting a group of followers behind you on these sites. Social media consulting also shows you how to engage followers on each of these platforms.

Make Money With People Search

Sunday, August 28th, 2011

What Is Acme People Search?

A man named Tissa Godivitarne first created this engine in order to make himself rich of course. Acme People Search is kind of self explanatory. It is a search engine that allows you to search for people. You can look up anyone that interests you. The most attractive part is that it is all free. This search gives you for FREE what other companies would make you pay $300 to do with a single person! But wait, there is another side to this machine. You can sign up with it to create your very own people search! Tissa lets you have the same income opportunity he does!

How APS Works

When you sign up there are 3 steps.

Step 1) AFFILIATIZE: This is where you enter different affiliate IDs. If you don’t have a specific affiliate account that you need, then you can simply sign up for it. You get paid commissions from these every month or after a certain amount depending on the program.

Step 2) MONETIZE: In order to make your people search viewable, you need a domain name. Yes, this does cost money, but if you bear with me here, then you will see the benefit. You sign up with a program call GDI. You can sign up here if you want to get it over with or you can do it in step 2. It all works the same. What happens is that he uploads the people search engine right into your website for you.

Step 3) ADVERTISE: Finishing this step will bring you to 100%. Advertising cost money right? WRONG! He will advertise for you for 30 days for FREE! All you do is unsubscribe, then use the trial pay offers to pay for every other month. He uses PPC advertising ect to generate traffic to your website! But, if you truly wish to succeed then you will have to drive your own traffic as well.

Successful Entrepreneur: Is it your Destiny?

Sunday, August 28th, 2011

The pictures often rush through your mind of being a successful entrepreneur, there you are sitting behind your desk, setting your own schedule and never worrying about what the boss might say. You can almost feel the peace and joy that will be yours when all the money begins to roll in.

Reality check! Before you are off picking out your new mansion estate, you should ask yourself a very important question. Are you made to be an entrepreneur? Is it really in you to become loaded?

In order to be encouraging you should see how you rate on the following five topics, Can you / will you:

-Stay with something without instant gratification? Your first day of entrepreneurship will be the most enlivening day of your life. In fact, you probably will not come off cloud nine for many days if not weeks.

You have pressed on and on and now you are at a wall. Your working hours look a whole lot like your last job and you are just trying to keep the business afloat. The rose coloured glasses are gone and to add insult to injury you can’t even see where you are making a difference. These are times when motivation is slim and you are just hoping to make it through another day.

So again, I ask you: Is it possible for you to stay with something without instant success? If you answered yes, it is possible that entrepreneurship will be just the remedy for you.

-Walk away from a losing intention? Anytime you spend days or weeks on a project it can feel like your baby. Honestly, it rather is, at least in a manner of speaking, I mean this is like your child.

No one is perfect and before you know it you can be neckline deep in a bad concept that threatens the very life of your business. Is it in you to let go and move on to the next idea in spite of your emotional attachment to the plan? Do this bit well and you are on your way to being a successful entrepreneur.

-How is your self assurance? Your friends and even your family are going to have enough doubts to share. Laughing at you and calling your plans ridiculous, maybe a common place and if you buy into any of this you will never make it.

Are you self-assured and sure of your skills and ideas? This is key to the entrepreneurial character.

-Have a good idea of the value of your product or service? The number one problem with new business owners is in the beginning they will sweat blood and tears for very little money. Many times this is a result of faulty thinking. The new entrepreneur knows they would not or could not afford to pay a specific amount for the product and therefore they price it too low.

Remember you are not the target market, you are not the consumer. Since you are providing a needed service or product that is highly valued by consumers you should naturally be paid accordingly. Rest assured if you charge too much the customer will be quick to inform you.

Until that happens you should place a good value on the product or service you are offering. When you value what you are and what you are offering, you will be a successful entrepreneur.

-Solve problems and obstacles? Last but not least, do you offer something that solves a problem?

Entrepreneurs must be problem solvers, there is simply no one else to solve them. This is your business, your baby if you will and the buck stops with you. All the corporate big guns are gone and you are the boss!

There is of course an even bigger reason to solve problems, it’s great for business! In fact that is your business, when you can quickly pick out the problems others are dealing with and then solve them then you have what you need to be a successful entrepreneur.

Dealing with Businesses Biggest Challenge

Friday, August 26th, 2011

Porsche CEO steps down, making way for VW merger, the compensation gap between the public and private sectors is growing ever wider. Ford posts $2.3-billion profit, a vast improvement from the record $8.7-billion loss posted a year ago. The Bank of Canada declares: recession over, growth resumes.

Positive or negative, these news stories all have something in common: the biggest challenge facing business today and everyone connected to it…(yes, that’s probably you) is: Dealing with Change!

Change, like death and taxes, is a constant. Isn’t it interesting that most of us at one time or another have done our best to avoid all three?

Why do most people seem to have an almost gag-reflex when it comes to dealing with change?

We applaud stability and we fear the unknown because it seems to threaten that very stability. Yet, the only companies that actually remain stable in their growth are the companies that embrace and create change.

In today’s economic climate we have hundred-year-old companies crumbling at their foundations while relatively new companies like the Apple Corporation are recording record high sales.

There’s an old saying that goes something like this:

When you find yourself on your knees asking God why your world is crumbling, look down instead of up, and you’ll discover it is God who is shaking your foundations.

When what we have been doing no longer works, it’s only logical that we need to do something else. However, there is a part of us that seems to find some kind of a dysfunctional thrill in whipping the proverbial dead horse.

The reason we get so stuck, the reason that when we finally change and then look back saying, why didn’t we make these changes a long time ago, is because of something called “The Ego-Mind”. The ego-mind operates in the shadows of everything we do. It is the part of us we are, for the most part, completely blind to. Yet, when we begin paying attention we can see its footprint and hear its whisper in almost every interaction.

When you find yourself in an argument with someone and you realize that you have lost your grip on what the fight is actually about, that’s the ego-mind in action. As I mentioned earlier, when you find yourself desperately either trying to keep things ‘the same’ or somehow, going back to the way it was, that is the ego-mind in action.

Going forward, there are 3 things to remember if you are looking to master your ego-mind and embrace the change that will bring you greater levels of success.

1.The ego-mind perceives all change is a threat. That shakiness you have about doing something different may well be a sign that you are on the right path.

2. The ego-mind perceives that you, well actually ‘it’, will die if you change. The bottom line is that to say you are not likely to die from changing is at the very least an understatement.

3. Scientists tell us that everything in the universe is in a constant state of growth and evolution. Remember: If you are not growing and evolving/changing, you are most likely going the way of the actual or business dinosaurs.

Building a Reputation As Young Entrepreneurs

Friday, August 26th, 2011

If you ask anyone under the age of twenty-five, they will probably tell you that they have a hard time getting the respect that they deserve. Those in business often find that this is definitely a problem that they feel that they have to overcome. Some feel that with age comes experience, and with that experience comes knowledge that can be trusted. However, there are many young entrepreneurs that are smart and will go a long way. They just have problems getting people to take them serious when they are at work or working on a business idea. There are some things they can do to get more respect, or at least to protect their reputation.

Being young entrepreneurs does not mean having to struggle, but you may have to work a little harder to build a good reputation. Even harder than that is defending one. So many young professionals with a lot to lose have made small mistakes that have cost them a lot. One of the top mistakes they make is being opinionated about those they work with, near, or for. It is never a good idea to bad mouth anyone, even when you think it is safe to do so. That person you are having drinks with could know them, or they could jump at the chance to make you look bad. Trust no one in this case and keep your personal opinions of other professionals to yourself. Even your best friend could turn on you one day. It happens all the time.

Young entrepreneurs are often strong willed, full of big dreams, and are looking to further their own businesses. This type of personality is a strong one, but may have meant that they have butted heads with folks before they struck out on their own. This is a mistake many young people make whether they are working for themselves or someone else. In the long run, people never forget these things and in the future, it could make or break a business relationship. Don’t job jump and burn bridges before going it on your own. Be reliable even if you think what you are doing has nothing to do with where you are planning to go.

The Internet is a great place to find work, work connections, business ideas, and to network with other young entrepreneurs. However, it is also a place where small mistakes could mean the loss of a reputation. Social networks like Facebook and MySpace are fun, but they are not the place to be if you are one of the many young entrepreneurs out there. One picture on your personal site of you drinking too much, flashing someone, or doing anything else is going to dent your reputation for a long time to come. Stay off those sites or think really hard before you post each picture or blog entry.

No matter what your ambitions and how likable you are, remember that there are always going to be people who are not going to like you. They may resent your ambition because they do not have it themselves, or they may not get along with with high tuned personalities. No matter what you do or who you meet, always be as nice and charming as you can be. Keep your thoughts about someone in your head and you and those like you will go along way as young entrepreneurs.

Tips for More Affordable Roof Maintenance

Wednesday, August 24th, 2011

Many people know Miami as a vacation spot. The city’s weather, coupled with its beaches, proves to be enticing to many tourists, prompting many to head to Miami during summer and spring breaks. As the city developed, housing opportunities came, opening Miami up for more tourists and residents.

One of the tougher issues that Miami housing faces is its concerns with roof maintenance. Miami’s sunny days often match the city’s humid seasons, thus making roofs susceptible to rust. Winds and rains visit the city often, and many find homeowners find their homes’ roofs clogged, if they don’t clean these structures often.

If you’re a Miami homeowner, you probably have these concerns, especially if you’re looking to sell your home. A maintained roof may spell the difference between high and low offers or bids on your house, so it’s best to keep the roof in good shape with the help of roof companies. If you worry about costs for hiring, read the following tips on keeping expenses low.

Save for your roof

There’s nothing like saving up before hiring a roofing company Miami for your house. Saving up for the endeavor will help get you the needed repair or renovation work, without having to taking out loans that will earn interest. If your house’s roof is still in good shape, you can schedule the repair at a later time, while you’re still saving. However, if your roof is in dire need of repair, consider sourcing your funds now because delaying repairs can damage other parts of your home.

Clean your roof regularly

Getting debris such as scrap materials, leaves, and branches off your roof should keep costs lower when hiring roofing companies Miami. A clean roof will usually incur less damage and lower repair costs, because drains don’t overflow and there’s minimal corrosion. If possible, clean your house’s roof after thunderstorms or windy spells, because these occurences can bring in debris that can clutter gutters and pipes.

Consider recommended companies

If you’re thinking of hiring roofing companies Miami, try to get companies recommended by friends or families. You may get discounts or promos this way because your friend or relative can appeal on your behalf. Furthermore, recommended companies usually try to retain more customers and may give you the right service you need.

New Business Model for Serious Entrepreneurs

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011

Choosing the right business opportunity for your start as a Serious Entrepreneurs is often a quick, but bad decision, because most people connect internet business with Multi-Level-Marketing (MLM). What this people don’t know is the fact, that MLM is dead and the Internet killed it.

MLM has always been based on the idea of working for 3-5 years and building a life long residual income that you can live from. Thanks to the internet thousands of new MLM’s launch every year, but the number of new marketers coming into MLM each year is now dramatically out of proportion with the number of new company start ups.

The only chance for a brand new company to catch the attention of networkers, and steer them away from their current MLM business is the promise of “getting in on the ground floor”. Networkers inevitably flock to it by the ten’s of thousands trying to “get in on top”. And if they don’t, it doesn’t matter because another shiny new MLM will launch in about 9-12 months, and when it does, and the music stops, the people at the bottom scramble to find their seat in the chain, destroying their old company from the bottom up in the process.

It’s a cruel thought when you realize that your MLM business is completely dependent upon strangers you’ve never met. There is no long-term commitment because networkers are only as loyal as his or her options, and thanks to the internet, their options are now endless and one click away.

So what is the solution for Serious Entrepreneurs to this MLM-Crisis?
It’s a concept called G.P.T., and it’s going to play a major role in network marketing from this point forward.
G.P.T. is not a company, not an opportunity, and it’s not a product. It’s an answer. A solution to tiny checks, leaking downlines, and the “quick turn” mentality that has taken over MLM. But the best part about G.P.T.is, that you won’t even have to build a downline.

G.P.T. Models are currently found in “Top Tier” Opportunities and It’s called “Top Tier” because of the caliber of people they attract, and the high-level incomes they can produce compared to traditional MLM.

GPT is THE answer, if you want to start making serious money as Serious Entrepreneurs from Day One.
